| 2T. Black Peppercorns 2T. Star Anise 2T. Mustard Seeds 2T. Bayleaf 4T. Dried Thai Chilis 2T. Cumin Seeds 2T. Cumin Powder 2T. Chili Powder 2T. Whole Cloves 1T. Celery seed 4C. Canola Oil method In a coffee grinder, roughly grind each ingredient until they are just chunky. Combine everything in a pot including oil and put on a low heat. When bubbles start to appear around the sides remove from the heat and let stand for 1 hour Strain through a coffee filter and china cap or sieve. The spiced oil can be stored at room temperature for 2 weeks or refrigerated for a month. uses Try marinating vegetables and meats with it then grill. Also try using small amounts of it in vinaigrettes. |
